Week 8: Challenges
We have no way of growing in life without challenges. Challenges, or trials, tribulations... they all help us grow. During those trials and tribulations sometimes we just want to give up, but as we endure though it and come out to the end, we will recognize the things we learned that will help us in our future. I am so grateful for the challenges that I have had in my life because I have learned so many lessons.
I am really looking forward to learning more about overcoming challenges while being an entrepreneur. There are many challenges that I will come upon and I am excited to face them. I say bring them on. I know they will shape me into the man I am supposed to be.
The Lord gives us challenges to help us grow. He does not do this to be cruel. Quite the opposite, he does this to help us become the best version of ourselves.
Our stories are all being written. If you think of any good story, such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc. All of the best stories give our heroes the necessary challenges for their growth. Any good story has good conflicts. We are drawn to stories with strong central narratives and conflicts. Take Harry Potter for example. In Harry Potter, Harry is always facing challenges. He is so tired of them, he just wants to live a normal wizarding teen life, but every year there is a challenge he must face. It is clear by the end of the series, that his challenges shaped him into the wizard that saved the entire wizarding world from Voldemort. Without the challenges, he would not be naturally skilled and shaped to be the only one to take down the strongest wizard up to that point.
This symbolizes all of us. We need to embrace the challenges and welcome the growth. They are preparing us to achieve our purpose in life. Remember: there is no comfort in the growth zone, and there is no growth in the comfort zone.
