W 13: Attitude of Gratitude

I had the opportunity this week to reflect a lot on some things I learned in one of my classes, and one of the main topics that we discussed was the fact that we have to have an attitude of gratitude. What comes with having an attitude of gratitude? What are the benefits, and what are the blessings? What happens when we do the opposite?  I remember reading an article that all of our feelings have a "vibration", or a "vibe" or feeling that they give off. In the article, it states that being appreciative is the highest feeling that one could feel, even higher than love. Why is that do you think? Well let's ask this, what do you feel when you think of the things you are grateful for? What feelings fill your heart? I don't know about you, but it makes me feel amazing. I am filled with love, appreciation, and positivity It makes me feel better about life, and can make me have a more positive outlook on life. The opposite is also true. When we think about everythi...

W12: Integrity, Virtue, and Willpower

There are 3 things I would like to discuss today, and they are: Integrity, Virtue, and Willpower.  Firstly, when we discuss entrepreneurship and doing business on a large scale, we have to make a decision on if we are going to practice our business and do it with integrity or not. The truth of the matter is that you can make money by being both honest and dishonest. The thing is though, in this life, you get what you give. Read that again. You get what you give . You get back what you do, think, or say. So if you are going to go about doing things unethically, you can bet that you will have poor or crooked things restored back to you. You will attract the wrong kind of crowd. This goes for virtuous qualities as well. As long as you do good and do your best to uphold good values, you will attract good things in return. The thing is, that this works both ways. The more bad you do, the more bad you attract. We have to do our best to do business honestly. I have found so far in m...

W11: Attitude on Money

Did you know that our attitude on money will greatly determine our wealth? Sounds made up right? Read that again. Our  attitude on money. What is our idea of wealth? is it actual money, possession, and things? Or is it time spent with people we love?  Greed is one of the most deadly sins for a reason. If our attitude is solely focused on gaining more money, that is where we will spend our time. If our core values are family, learning, and adventure, that is where we will spend out time. Notice the key word there: time. They say time is money. Time really is one of the most valuable currency's there is.  Here is the thing about time: We are all given time as a currency, and we all spend it in different ways. There are many metaphors you can make with this analogy. You can say that by what we are all "investing" in some way or another. You can also say that we all get a certain amount of time, but I like this view, because time is limited. We are only on this earth fo...

W 10: Achieving your dreams

It has become almost cliche, that is, the saying "follow your dreams", or, "dream big". It has gotten so cliche that it sort of goes in one ear and out the other when it is said these days. But let's dive a little deeper into it. What does it really mean? What does it really look like?  In my class, we had some really good readings and videos that we were supposed to internalize. Many of them talked about seeing it in your mind first, and allowing it to take root deep within. We talked about not taking no for an answer, and being persistent, as well as resilient. These are all aspects about following your dreams. Out of all the things we learned about this week, I think the aspect of resilience is what stood out to me the most. You will have a lot of nay sayers on your journey. And it is important to be dead set on your own journey. One of my favorite books of all time is called the 10X rule, by Grant Cardone. The reason I love this book so much is because he t...

Week 9: Follow to Lead

In order to be a good leader, you must also be a good follower. But this is also a blanket statement. You can be a follower for anything, both good and bad. With this principle, you have to ask yourself what, or whom you should follow. I am not talking about followers on instagram, although many people do choose to follow the actual life style of various social media influencers. Who do I follow? Who should you follow?  The answer is the one who is the most famous one to ever walk this earth, Jesus Christ. My goal while I am on this earth is to be a better disciple of Him. Jesus Christ is the one who came, and not only played down his life so that we can find forgiveness for all of our sins, but he was the ultimate example for how we should live. He lived in a way that was a perfect template for all who strive to follow him to live. He was a friend, he loved everyone, he was a missionary, he was obedient, he was a hard worker, he was a teacher, he was assertive, he was faithf...
